HOT CHILI

1 pound Parker House Special Sausage
1 ½ pounds ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1 (5/8 ounce) package chili seasonings mix
2 (15 ¾ ounces) cans hot chili with beans
1 ¼ cups water
1 (1 pound) can tomatoes, undrained
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
½ teaspoon garlic powder, optional
½ teaspoon red pepper

Remove sausage casings if preferred. Brown sausage and beef; drain. Add onion and green pepper. Cook 3 to 5 minutes. Stir remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
