¼ cup softened butter
10 slices rye bread
10 Parker House Hot Smoked Links
1 (1 pound) can sauerkraut, drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce with onions
½ pound Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
Butter both sides of bread. Toast one side only in broiler, 6 inches from heat. Split hot links in half. Broil links, cut side up, 5 to 6 inches from heat, 3 to 5 minutes. Combine sauerkraut and tomato sauce. Spread sauerkraut mixture on untoasted side of bread. Top with links, cut side up; add cheese slice. Broil 6 inches from heat, 3 to 5 minutes.
Yield: 10 servings.
